UNESCO’s Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) is a global celebration of jazz music held annually in April. JAM was born out of UNESCO’s International Jazz Day, which was declared by the United Nations in 2011 to recognize the power of the art form to promote dialogue, understanding, and tolerance across cultures.
