Hogar de Esperanza Receives MIES Approval

Hogar de Esperanza is proud to announce that we were approved today by the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES), the government agency that regulates nonprofits, as a Registered Ecuadorian Foundation.

Thanks to the fantastic team effort of our volunteers, we completed the process with a total cost of $23.76 in notary fees and within 7 days of filing, which is remarkable, because the process can commonly cost up to $5,000 and take up to a year. We are particularly grateful to the many MIES staff who, recognizing the importance of the work we do and the good name our organization has within the Ecuadorian community, assisted us in completing our application. This approval gives us greater reach and recognition of our vision to improve the quality of life for those affected by illness in Ecuador, with an emphasis on HIV.

Please join us on Sunday, April 9th, for our Open House to celebrate with us and to meet our directors and volunteers. Details about the event will be released in the coming days and are available on our Facebook page. Thank you for all your support in helping Fundación Hogar de Esperanza reach this important milestone.
