Good photographs are created in the mind. You DO NOT need complicated equipment. Just knowing how images are constructed and using some easy techniques will enable you to make captivating images with the camera you regularly use.
Photographer/Writer John Keeble is offering a 6-hour workshop at idiomART Studio. He’ll be sharing how to make your camera your ally. John specializes in photography that speaks to viewers as single images and as stories. His firm belief is that anyone can make good images, with meaning and emotion, using any kind of automatic camera. His photographs have appeared in every kind of media worldwide for over half a century.
The workshop will be split into three parts: the morning session will be a non-technical presentation on how to get the photos you want; the middle involves going out into the city to practice; and during the third you will return in the afternoon to review your efforts. By the end of workshop, you’ll be taking photos that tell the stories you want.
The workshop will be held:
Tuesday, January 30th:
10 a.m. – noon (instruction), noon – 2 p.m. (practice), 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. (review).
The cost is $15, which can be paid via PayPal or in cash.
