Saraguro Trip – Saturday, 1/14

Jan 9, 2017 |

Hola Amigos and fellow travelers,

Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great holiday season and are looking forward to making 2017 amazing. We are announcing our first trip of the New Year – Saraguro!

An indigenous community halfway between Cuenca and Loja, Saraguro is about 2 hours away by bus. We have confirmed with a Shaman and his family about hosting and guiding our troop through this truly magical place and have come up with the following itinerary for our trip on Saturday, 14 January:

Departure from Cuenca…welcome and chat about the Andean vision of the universe…a strenuous, bt doable hike up to a sacred cave for a harmony/cleansing ritual…lunch…artisan visit… and a visit to the Tequila distillery…return to Cuenca

I will be there to translate so no worries about a language barrier.

All costs like transportation, food and the activities listed above are covered in the trip cost.

We are so looking forward to welcoming you to Saraguro and experiencing the magic and mysticism with all of you.

For additional details including price and meeting place, please do not hesitate to contact me. My local number is: 099-823-4971 or you can email me back – I can be reached anytime!

To clarify…Saraguro is not half way between Cuenca and Loja (that would be Oña). It also takes 3 hours by bus to get to Saraguro from Cuenca. Would be helpful if you listed the trip cost in the ad itself.
