Tuesday Cinema

For the month of July, the Alliance Française of Cuenca offers free French cinema sessions every Tuesday. At 7 PM, come and enjoy our projections in the auditorium of the Alliance Française.

Here is the line-up that is waiting for you:

Tuesday, July 5th, 2022: Remi Sans Famille (2018) Synopsis: Remi is an orphan who was abandoned as a child, until Madame Barberin took him into her home. The day he turned 10 years old, his home was taken away from him and he was separated from his adoptive mother to be entrusted to Signor Vitalis, an itinerant artist. With him he will learn how the world works, and above all how to earn a living. Vitalis will teach him the magic of music, for which the young man has a gift, thanks to which they will travel all over France, together with his dog Capi and his monkey Joli. This adventure will lead them to Remi’s past.

Tuesday, July 12th, 2022: Petite Fille (2020) Synopsis: When she grows up, she will be a girl. This is something Sasha has been dreaming of since childhood. At school, Sasha is not allowed to dress ‘like a girl’, she must wear ‘boy’s’ clothes. On several occasions Sasha doesn’t understand why adults make everything so complicated, and don’t let her just be who she is and wear whatever she wants to wear.

Tuesday, July 19th, 2022: Les chatouilles (2018) Synopsis : Odette is eight years old, and likes to dance and draw. She trusts a friend of her parents who proposes to her to “play tickling games”. As an adult, Odette speaks freely and devotes herself fully to her career as a dancer, letting herself be carried away by the whirlwind of life.

Tuesday, July 26th, 2022: Felicita (2018) Synopsis : Tim and Chloé live happily ever after with no strings attached, but tomorrow summer ends. Their daughter, Tommy, is going back to school, and this year, as promised, she won’t miss it.
