Cooking With Rey “South East Asian Cuisine”

Cooking With Rey “South East Asian Cuisine”

Authentic Southeast Asian Cuisine “Spiced Just The Way You Like”

It’s been cold and rainy so I’m serving my Chicken with Lemon Soup this week. Generous amounts of chicken served in homemade chicken stock with a delicate taste of lemon. A little toasted garlic sprinkled on the top and some chilies on the side in case you want to spice it up. Or choose one of your other favorite Southeast Asian Dishes. See my website for more information.

Recommendation for Cooking with Rey…
excellent, Cambodian-style restaurant
Rey’s husband and gracious maitre d, Joe, welcomed us into what must be one of the most beautiful, surprise settings behind the unstated elegance of the upscale entrances on this quiet street near San Sebastián plaza. And, that was the beginning of our 2 ½ hour culinary adventure. Brisk gin and tonic (real tonic and Bombay Sapphire), sweet and spicy shrimp, well done (in many ways) thick sea bass filet, and traditional Cambodian dessert. Opened 8 weeks ago, but with the ambiance and cuisine of a well-established “must eat there” restaurant with a bright future.

Painting Gatherings

TULLPUNA is a word in “quechua” that means painting and anything related to color. For that reason, we called our painting gatherings
“TULLPUNA NIGHTS, WINE & ART.”

We are inviting you to become part of this creative and fun group that will be gathering every third 3rd Thursday of the month at idiomART, from 5 to 8pm, starting June 23rd, 2022, Mariscal Lamar 14-25 y Estévez de Toral.

The cost will be $30 per person that includes, all painting materials, canvas, brushes, pencils, acrylics and your own painting station, plus a glass of wine. You are free to bring your own brushes or any other painting tools that you like to use. After three hours of painting, you will take home your own art work.

Hosted by Victor Rexach from PaintourART, and in-house artist Cristian León, whom will be offering guidance and tips on the creation of your art work. No experience necessary, just the desire to start with the fascinating world of painting.
