KIT THORNTON PLAYS DALTON TRUMBO
A native of West Virginia who recently moved to Cuenca, Kit’s many acting credits including Shakespeare (Prospero
in “The Tempest” and Marc Anthony in “Julius Caesar”), and key roles in modern classics like Thomas Cromwell in “A
Man for All Seasons” and Clarence Darrow in “Clarence Darrow,” to some of the greatest character roles in musical
theater (Mr. Mushnick in “Little Shop of Horrors,” Herr Schultz in “Cabaret,” and Herbie in “Gypsy.”
As an attorney, Kit served as a staffer in the United States Senate, an experience that informs his portrayal of Dalton
Trumbo as that writer appeared before the Un-American Activities Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives.
