Teatro – “Navidad Morlaca” will premier el viernes y sábado a las 20:00 in the Teatro Pumapungo. The cast is all over 60 years old, selected from public auditions and not through workshops in theater. The work is based on Dicken’s Cuento de Navidad <You should be able to figure that one out. Hint: Scrooge and Tiny Tim>, although it has been Cuecanized. One of the carols got new words, “Vengan a comer motecito, cuchicito, roscas…” (Come and eat a little mote, a little pork, rosca cookies…”

Moreno to sign an agreement covering 43 issues including border security, creating a fund for social development, and sharing a a 600 MHz band to reduce “roaming” between the two countries. <Does that mean my Ecuadorian phone would work in Colombia? Remember I’m the biggest technological dummy you’ll meet – and I can do it in two languages.>

Suspension of projects – 3 city projects have been suspended for various reasons. Remodeling of the 27 de Febrero market was suspended because some of the merchants were opposed and asked the mayor to postpone the project because the building has not completed its useful life. <Better to wait until things start falling apart and then panic and demand immediate action.> The traffic interchange at De Las Americas and Octavio Chacón at the Choferes gas station can’t go ahead until the Tranvía work in Milchichig is finished. Opening a stretch of av. de Los Migrantes doesn’t make sense until the land donated by the military at the Cuartel Cayambe is sold.
