Black Fungus Salad Anyone?

September 26, 2018 all-day

What the heck is Black Fungus Salad you ask? Well, it is one of The Red Dragon’s most popular dishes!

In fact, if it weren’t so embarrassing, most people would probably be licking the bowl when they finish it!

Black Fungus Salad is a cold appetizer made from Wood Ear Mushrooms, a crunchy type of mushroom that gives amazing flavor and a very interesting mouth feel. This dish is a staple in Northern China and our recipe comes from that region. Blanched, mixed with soy sauce and chopped jalapeño, then served cold, this dish is one that even the pickiest eater will love.

So, come to The Red Dragon and get a FREE appetizer dish of Black Fungus Salad ANY NIGHT THIS WEEK. You’ll be so happy you tried it!

If you haven’t been to Red Dragon yet, it’s located in The Castle, Cuenca’s newest entertainment complex. The Red Dragon is open from 6PM-10PM Wednesday thru Saturday.

The Castle is located on the Tomebamba River, with two entrances on 3 de Noviembre (200 feet downriver from the Broken Bridge) and on Bajada de Todos los Santos, (500 feet downhill from Todos Santos Church). Parking is available on Calle Larga, just above The Castle. You can take the stairs down from Calle Large right to our Todos Santos entrance!
