National Geographic, University of North Carolina project looking for feed-back from Cuenca expats

Jun 11, 2018

Researchers from the University of North Carolina need your help.

Study needs the participation of Cuenca expats.

A UNC team is in Cuenca gathering information about international retirement migration. The project, funded by the National Geographic Society, is focusing on several large expatriate communities in Latin America, including Cuenca.

The researchers are asking expats to complete an online survey at http://go.unc.edu/retirementmigration

To participate, you should be over 55, retired, a native of the U.S., Canada, or Europe, and live in Cuenca for at least four months a year. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete.

Researchers are particularly interested in health care options for retirees, including those for in-home care. Expats who would like to share their experiences in this area, beyond completing the survey, are asked to contact Brenna at brennajean86@gmail.com or Phil at philip_sloane@med.unc.edu
