Otras cosas –
Titular – El tranvía no frena “a raya” (The tram does not brake “at a distance” <That’s what the translation program – which will remain unnamed – says> (The tram doesn’t “stop on a dime”) <That’s what I think it means – and I like mine better even if it’s wrong.> – The tranvía has 3 different braking systems – de servicio, emergencia and urgencia <stop, oh crap, and oh f**k> Unfortunately, the article under the headline is about historic houses in Cuenca.
Venezuelan/Russian exercises – The governments of Venezuela and Russia are preparing Venezuela’s defense in the event of an armed attack. The two countries are conducting combined operational flights. <With all the money Venezuela has to spend on anything – would you want to be flying wing to wing with a Venezuelan plane and pilot?> The Russians sent a squadron of aircraft <Google says a squadron is from 12-24 aircraft.> including 2 Tu-160 strategic bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons, an An-14 military transport, and an Il-62 passenger plane. The Venezuelan Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino, said that no one in the world should fear the presence of these aircraft in Caracas because Venezuela and Russia “are builders of peace and not of war.” <Now where is that in the mainstream news? When did the Monroe Doctrine become the Trump Concession? Putin must have had the pee tapes and/or worse on Instagram with his finger on the send button when he called Trump and said I’m sending in a squadron of military aircraft into your back yard. Even a libtard like me is taking this as an insult to the US, but I’m afraid the knee jerk reaction will be the bombing of some poor village school in the jungle.>
Yaku Pérez – The president of Ecuarunari (The Confederation of the Kichwa Nationality in Ecuador), has announced his candidacy for the prefect of Azuay. He will be on the Movimiento de Unidad Plurinacional (MUPP – list 18) slate in the local elections on 24/3/2018. To him, the defense of water against mining will be the key for the province.
Medicine app – “Arcsa Móvil” is an app to determine the quality of medications. The Agencia Nacional de Regulación, Control y Vigilancia Sanitaria is performing controls in pharmacies to verify that the medications have their proper Registro Sanitarios and to train pharmacy staff how to identify falsified medicines. In July, 2017, various agencies found a clandestine lab in Cuenca with 18.3 tons of medicines that were possibly falsified or expired. The “ARCSA Móvil” app will verify if the Registro Sanitario on the product exists or if the store has permission to conduct business. If the number doesn’t match the ARCSA data base, you can go to www.controlsanitario.gob.ec to report it. <That’s assuming you can read what the app is telling you.>
And that´s all for today so Hasta Mañana <probably> –
