Tourist plunges to his death near Guayaquil as crew films a rap music video

Jul 18, 2018

A man died after plunging from the top of a waterfall – and it was captured by cameras recording a music video in Guayas Province, Ecuador.

The shocking clip shows Ecuadorian artist Don Day rapping at the falls in the Laguna Salto de Oro resort on Saturday as he filmed the video for his song Hablando con la Luna.

In the background a figure plummets from the top of the falls after appearing to slip and hits the water as the shocked production team looks on.

According to witnesses, the man was part of a tourist group who had nothing to do with the production of the video.

On the site, according to one of the artist’s collaborators, there was a group of tourists jumping from the top of a waterfall and one of them, despite the warnings, launched himself and did not re-surface.

Shooting of the music video was then suspended.
