El Museo Curiosidades del Mundo (Curiosities of the World Museum) – This private museum owned by Jorge Arías is located on calle Larga and Hermano Miguel, next to the Escalinatas, in the basement of a patrimonial house that is over 100 years old. When Arias bought the house the basement was in bad condition and he remodeled it to accommodate the collection. Many of the items are clothing and objects from traditional fiestas in Ecuador including the Diablada de Píllaro, the Diablos de Saraguro and the Taita Carnaval de Cañar. Hours are from lunes a sábado from 9-17;30 and los domingos from 9-13:00. Admission: $2.00.

Día del Teatro – Theater Day which is actually 27/3, was celebrated el sábado with a Ruta del Teatro which bused theater goers to various venues to see performances.

Titular – Cuenta regresiva para pago en bus solo con tarjetas (Countdown to card only payments for bus rides) – Starting el domingo, you will have to pay bus fare with an electronic card – Movilízate and Urbania. Pedestrian bridge – Mayor Cabrera signed a contract to build pedestrian crossing over Las Américas and calle Ocarina in the Miraflores sector. The cost of the project is $1,149,763.74 <what precision – 74¢> with a construction period of 270 days.

Jueves – 9:00 in the Catedral – a blessing, a mass of the Last Supper, foot washing – starting in the afternoon, people can visit 7 churches.
Viernes Santo – Festival of Fanesca with various Centro Histórico restaurants participating – at 19:00, the Viacrucis.
Sábado – Easter vigil at 22:00 in the Catedral.
Domingo – masses at 9:30, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and 20:00.
