To gain an awareness of eternity we must first abandon the egoistic body

It is an amazing thing when we die, or enter a state of enlightenment before we die. Many might believe that the end of the body and person is the end of life, but this is entirely not true. There is a vibrant energetic consciousness, a cosmic awareness, into which you dissolve, with which you merge and expand. As mentioned this state is approachable without the necessity of physical death, but most will not experience this awareness of eternity until they drop the body and the egoic “person.”

Our program of Conscious Dying actually affords one the opportunity to build a relationship with this radiant, eternal reality. In doing so one becomes fully unafraid of the process of physical death. We learn that our body and our person are simply constructions, functioning as a communication device.

We have discussed in earlier essays about what Eckhart Tolle calls “the unmanifested.” This is the energetic universal principle, what some call God. Our highest calling and source of our true happiness comes when we align our life’s purpose with this principle. We become the conduit through which this energetic principle expresses, energy moving from the timeless realm into the space/time world. We literally become a bridge between heaven and earth. All of the spiritual masters who have ever taught, with their words and their life examples, have pointed toward the same radiant truth. When we understand the “one thing,” what I refer to as the singularity, our lives become transformed. A mystical truth in the Bible states: “When thine eye becomes single thy whole body will be filled with light.”

We experience a reversal of thinking. Unconscious living sees the world as a place “for getting from.” Conscious Living sees the world as a place “for giving to.” This is the fulfillment of the principle of forgiveness. We have applied this principle to our past, to our world, to our future, and in doing so we become free. Whole, happy and free.

So Conscious Dying offers us two distinct gifts: overcoming any sense of fear regarding the physical death and offering us a way of living that is vibrantly full and exciting. This is the foundation of Conscious Living, that we make the most of our lives, day by day. We give our greatest creative gifts to the world, simply for the joy of giving. In doing so we experience unlimited joy and gratitude. Our lives are marked by unbridled enthusiasm. We have become a true “light of the world.”

This is the current evolution of our species on our planet. We have experienced millions of years of physical evolution. We have experienced a few thousand years of mental and emotional evolution. And now we are entering a new era as we literally birth a new earth. To become a part of this remarkable evolution is to truly be devoted to the solution for our species and our world. As Buckminster Fuller taught, it is a sad waste of resources fighting against the old forms; far more efficient and effective is to put all of our energy and resources toward building something new.

The OASIS Center for Conscious Living is devoted to this mission of service. Becoming a part of our Center, and possibly becoming a member of our Community, is an opportunity for those who truly wish to maximize their life’s purpose. Together we joyfully are building a new earth.
