Two Ecuadorian banks make top 25 list

Banco Pichincha and Banco del Pacífico are included in the list of the 25 best banks in Latin America, according to América Economía magazine. Banco Pichincha is eighth on the magazine’s list while Banco del Pacífico is rated 17th.

The ranking is based on the Camel method of determining a financial institutional security, and includes banks with assets of $4 billion on more.

In 2016, Forbes magazine ranked Pichincha among the 50 most secure banks in North and South America.

Other top-rated banks on América Economía’s list are Banco de Chile, De Credito Perú, Santander de Chile.
