Expat Community Ec 15th anniversary

1482 views

In August 2010 I, Karina Urgilés, started helping some expat friends take care of their cat while they went on vacation. Later, we helped other friends with their cell phone plans, bank accounts, and relocation paperwork.

This opened the door for me to work with expats through word-of-mouth recommendations, initially as a facilitator , opening bank accounts and providing basic services, and later as a facilitator for visas, cedulas, and licenses. At the time, my father, Luis Urgilés, and my sister, Indira, worked for the government. Luis was the Minister of Justice of Azuay, and Indira was Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Social Inclusion. They only advised me, while other lawyers worked with me. Eventually both Luis and Indira joined my team, and the team transformed itself from Karina Urgilés, a “Facilitator at your Fingertips”, into Expat Community Ec. We now provide complete-legal advice and solutions to the needs of expats.

Our services include:
– Visas, visa transfers, licenses, and cedulas.
– Wills and End of Life, Effective Possession of Assets, Execution of Wills, etc.
– Legal representation, Power of Attorneys, Contracts.
– Real State: Relocation, Closings, etc.
