Keep on ranting or take action
Beginner? Intermediate? Advanced?
What is your Spanish level?
I’ve listened to advanced students in theory who are really beginners while speaking.
I listen everyday to beginners who are intermediate while listening and… advanced students who are really beginners while speaking.
While you are mastering the subjunctive and yada, yada, yada…your pronunciation…hmm let’s say… it doesn’t match with Spanish language.
So, what to do?
1.Post it on social media?
2.Get upset because Spanish is a hard language to master?
3. Being surprised that after a long time living here Spanish is still a pain in the…?
4. Ask people to slow down while speaking so you can understand word by word? (it won’t happen).
5. Learn more grammar to solve your listening comprehension?
6. Continue exactly the same process until being convinced that Spanish is not for you.
Mastering Spanish has a beginning and an ending like a “happily ever after”? Nope!
If what you have been doing doesn’t lead you to any place, check out the route…
Learn what you have to learn and then, keep practicing, so these two things will happen:
1. Cuencanos will stop talking so fast (no, to be honest they won’t, it will change your perception).
2. You won’t need to vent on social media instead, you will feel confident to post in social media (in Spanish of course).
Any-way,
You need a plan, 10 lessons, 15 mouth movements and just one single way to listen.
Best,
LaVilmaVega.
