Not Moving On, But Moving Forward
๐Ÿ“… Friday, January 16 | 3:00โ€“6:00 PM
๐Ÿ“ Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano โ€“ Abraham Lincoln (Presidente Borrero 5-18)

This is a facilitated conversation for those living with grief โ€” not as something to fix or resolve, but as something we learn to live with.

Grief is often treated as a problem to solve or a process with a deadline. When it resurfaces, many people feel they are doing something wrong. This gathering offers a different orientation: we donโ€™t โ€œmove onโ€ from grief โ€” we move forward with it.

Together, weโ€™ll explore grief as a form of love that continues, grief as something layered and shaped by culture, and grief as something that coexists with work, relationships, migration, responsibility, and daily life. This space is especially relevant for expats and globally rooted people who may be carrying multiple forms of loss at once.

The conversation will include a short video, reflective metaphors, quiet individual reflection, and optional sharing. There is no pressure to speak, no fixing, and no expectation to share personal details. This is not therapy or a support group โ€” it is a space for clarity, language, and collective presence.

Tea and light snacks will be provided.

Facilitated by Colleen Eschenburg, INELDA-trained End-of-Life Doula, working at the intersection of grief, life transitions, and meaning-making.

If you are living with grief โ€” recent or long-held โ€” you are welcome.
