Nur on the road Foundation – Back on the road and inspiring young artists!
Our tireless founders, Patty and Jorge, are embarking on a new and challenging project: expanding the message of Fundación Nur to other cities in South America, between October and January, while activities continue in Cuenca and the rural area of El Salado.
We want to share with you some of the highlights of Week Six!
Location: Rulo, Chile
First of all, we want to thank the generous people who helped us with the repair of the truck and allow us to continue sowing seeds of hope. We are beyond grateful!
Inspiring young children to find in the arts a place of happiness and peace has been an important part of the Fundacion Nur’s legacy over the years, and it is also a goal during this project.
We have organized several art classes for kids since the beginning of the project. With a guided activity, children can enjoy a moment of joy while drawing and painting and each child receives an art kit to continue painting at home.
This week we witnessed the positive energy of thirty-six students as they drew and painted at a school in Chile. With their “wonderful hands” they made the shape of a giraffe, drew it and painted it. It was a pleasure to see how they concentrated and couldn’t stop coloring their drawings! They found that space where you forget everything and enjoy the colors, the possibility of creating something unique.
The result of the activity was 36 different and lovely giraffes!
“Art makes me feel good and happy.” That was the message we left in those children this week.
Those moments fill us all with joy and hope. We will continue to inspire a new generation of artists!
Thank you for your support!
