Building Community & Support While Living Abroad

After a thoughtful Solo Aging Visibility Day (SAVvy) in-person gathering in Cuenca this week, I’ll also be holding a small online conversational space this Sunday for those elsewhere in Ecuador, or who simply preferring to join remotely.

Over the last few weeks, conversations around support, independence, solo living, community, and life abroad have opened much more deeply than I expected.

Many people living abroad have built meaningful, independent lives, but are also quietly reflecting on questions like:

• What actually supports my life long-term?
• How do we build meaningful community abroad?
• Who would I call if something changed?
• What does intentional independence look like over time?

This is not a workshop, lecture, or heavy planning session.

Simply a grounded conversational space for reflection, meaningful dialogue, and human connection in good company
