First rolling stock for Cuenca’s new rail system rolls into town; it will open for public inspection later this month
The first cars of Cuenca’s light rail system, or Travia de los Cuatro
Rios, arrived in town Wednesday from Guayaquil, on board flatbed trucks.
The rail cars are parked on Av. Tres de Noviembre near Otorongo Plaza. Traffic on on the street has been rerouted to Presdidente Cordova until the the cars are moved to the Tranvia rail yard on Cuenca’s southside.
The rolling stock will open to public viewing on October 25.
