Noboa’s inauguration draws a crowd of dignitaries
According to Ecuador’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, 93 foreign representatives will attend Saturday’s inauguration of President Daniel Noboa. Among those planning to attend are the presidents of neighboring countries, Gustavo Petro of Colombia and Dina Boluarte of Peru. Other countries are sending vice presidents and cabinet officials to the 11 a.m. ceremony at the National Assembly in Quito.

Among the top foreign dignitaries expected are U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr., and Chinese Education Minister Huai Jinpeng.
Latin American officials attending the event are the vice presidents of the Dominican Republic, Raquel Peña, and El Salvador, Félix Ulloa. Foreign Ministers representing their countries of Bolivia, Celinda Sosa; of Brazil, Mauro Vieira; of Costa Rica, Arnoldo Tinoco; and of Panama, Javier Martínez-Acha.
Also attending are the Interior Ministers of Paraguay and Guatemala, Enrique Riera Escudero and Francisco Jiménez Irungaray. Manuel José Ossandón, senate president, will represent Chile.
Cabinet-level officials planning to attend are: Dan Jarvis, UK; Nataliia Kalmykova, Ukraine; Giorgio Silli, Italy; Kisun Bang, Korea; Maninder Sidhu, Canada; Francesca Armegol, Spain; and Peter Beyer, Germany.
