U.S.-based Dynamic International Airways (DIA) has announced plans to begin daily flights from Guayaquil’s José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport to New York on July 1, pending approval by Ecuador’s civil aviation council.

The airline’s legal office says it expects to receive approval May 25.

Founded in 2010 and based in Greensboro, North Carolina, DIA has until recently operated charter flights but is expanding into regularly scheduled service, primarily between the U.S. and Latin America

In addition to Guayaquil-to-New York service, DIA has said it will add non-stop flights to Orlando, Florida within six months to a year.

DIA operates Boeing 767-200ERs and 767-300ERs aircraft.
